Museums & Other Attractions

House of David Museum

The opening of the House of David Museum at 110 E. Main St. in downtown Addison is dedicated to a religious colony, a faction of Christianity called the House of David. The colony grew to nearly 4,000 members during its 70-year history and boasted a public resort and national baseball team before it closed in 1973.

Amish work crews spent more than two months restoring much of the 105-year-old former store building in Addison. Chris Siriano, who has been curator since 1997, moved the museum and more than 10,000 items from its former location in Benton Harbor to Addison.

The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p m. Saturday. Group tours are also available with advance notice.
